UNITY DELIVERS
Groceries and Connection, Delivered
Unity Delivers brings nutritious food directly to homebound, disabled, and isolated seniors and adults throughout Santa Barbara County. For people who cannot visit the Free Store due to transportation, health, or mobility challenges, the program bridges the gap.
Each week, staff pack and deliver fresh produce, dairy, proteins, pantry staples, and bread based on availability.
The visits matter as much as the groceries.
Many recipients live alone. Regular deliveries provide reassurance, companionship, and a chance to check on each client’s well-being.
In 2025, Unity Delivers served 1,277 individuals. Each delivery provides an estimated $200 to $300 worth of groceries and essential items, helping participants stretch limited incomes while staying safely in their own homes.
Referrals come through local agencies and partner organizations that identify seniors and adults who need consistent support.
